Truly good art has to make you question the status quo, and plant a seed of change in those who are experiencing and witnessing it, enabling you to see things and structures -or its possibilities and futures- differently. XION label is interdisciplinary platform of community values, an audiovisually eclectic, seemingly naive and utopistic artistic vision about sensitiveness and empathy, with intentions of openness for “the another” and a varied ones next to each others in a sense of opinions and artistry - inviting for togetherness, coexistence and mutual (not only cultural) understanding and enrichment. Far from what we see as restrictions of genre-based labels, which we perceive (though knowing some purposes for this dividing) as unsuitable and insufficient in efforts to connect and unite people within contemporary times of overwhelming global pressures as well as growing personal human struggles… One world - we’re stronger together! Instead, embracing diversity in creations and blends a various sensory aesthetics, like an attitude and invitation for participation and exploration with curiosity, thus chances for surprising discoveries that might expand the views and possible ways for our common synecdochical (co-)existence/world, which may also help with the search for meaning and hope. All power to the imagination! Supporting cultures’, minorities’ and queer peripheries; touching, overlaps into and emphasizing - consciously or not - social and philosophical themes and topics, (sub-)cultural anthropology; cherishing conceptual, academic realms as well as expressive and DIY approaches; while staying open for both newcomers and the already established ones… Ethos: P.L.U.R.
