• Gravity Hacking is made with playing vinyl cut to play at 33, at 45 RPM: all but three tracks play from “sped up” records. Despite how it sounds, the experience is calm; an elevated energy, but serene. Some is playful (and a bit silly), but some is sheer dancefloor ascendance, with unique rhythm and groove, not just a tempo frenzy. It’s a bitch mixing tracks like this at the best of times, never mind being so out of practice, so watch the slippy transitions here and there. This is the first swing at it, improvising sequence and transitions, with two corrections.
